My name is Steph and I am the Nursery manager. I have 14 years’ experience in childcare and hold a level 3 qualification in the children and young people’s workforce. I’m currently completing a level 5 apprenticeship in operational management. I’m very passionate about my career and strive to make a difference to children’s lives by ensuring they have the best possible start in life.

I really enjoy cooking and love to experiment with new foods, especially learning family recipes from my Cypriot and Sri Lankan heritage.

I am recently engaged so most of my spare time is spent planning my dream wedding! I have a big interest in interior design and have been personally renovating my own home over the last few months which has helped me to gain lots of new skills. I have a long bucket list of things I’d love to achieve in my life, so far I’ve been fortunate enough to have been sky diving, worked abroad for a Summer, swam with dolphins, climbed the O2, snorkelled in the middle of the ocean, been parasailing and travelled to lots of beautiful countries across the world and UK!

I have been a director for over 20 years and have worked in the childcare industry since 2006. I am passionate about childcare and co-own a childcare business with my wife, who was the previous manager. I have also enjoyed working in childcare, especially as my wife and I ran the business together, and our own twins attended the nursery. They have now moved on to high school. In addition to childcare, I own a property business in Waltham Forest. Outside of work, I love going to the gym, trekking, following the Wim Hof Method, and watching and supporting my football team. 

My name is Arzina and I am the nursery chef. I have a level 3 in food hygiene as well as training on food tolerance and allergies. I have always had a passion and talent for cooking, ever since I was 13 in secondary school, I chose to do Food Tech and I had decided to pursue a career in this field. I am a native Mauritian, since I come from such a diverse nation, I am able to speak English, Mauritian, Creole, French, Urdu and Hindi. I come from a multicultural background which produces a diverse cuisine.

As I adore cooking I look for new recipes to try out from time to time from cookbooks, TV shows and videos online and due to this I love to travel around the world and try different cuisine with my family. My favourite countries to visit was Malaysia due to diversity of flavours in their cuisine.
I have just recently grown an appreciation for gardening and like to plant my own flowers, fruits and vegetables in my own garden.

My name is Angela and I am proud mum of two sons. Originally from Liverpool my first job was in care work, where I developed a passion for helping others. I later transitioned into childcare, a field I truly enjoy.

After some time away, I have recently returned to childcare and Rising Stars, bringing a wealth of experience, warmth, and dedication to supporting children’s growth and development. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring food markets and spending quality time on days out with my children.

My name is Shanice and I have recently joined the Pear room at Rising Stars. Having 6 lovely children of my own, I am excited to be embarking on a new career in childcare and gaining a qualification.

My free time is spent on days out and enjoying activities with my family. I’m a massive dog lover and have 3 American XL bullies at home.

Summer is my favourite time of the year; I love to attend BBQ’s where there is lots of food, sunshine, and laughter with my friends and family!

I hope this year to travel more and add to my family destinations bucket list, Turkey being at the top.

I enjoy reading old English literature. Charlotte Bronte and Hardy are my favourites. This is owed to my schooling at a Grammar school in Kent. I’m also a bit of a foodie; my ultimate favourite pastime is trying new cuisines with friends and family.

My name is Amy; I’ve worked in childcare for 2 years and have a level 2 in teaching and supporting young children. I love working with children and get excited to come to work each day as every day is different. You never know what to expect when working with children and it is rewarding to see their progress. I believe I am a fun and enthusiastic practitioner when working with the children and strive to put smiles on their face.

I am a mum myself which I also thoroughly enjoy. My son and I love food tasting and trying new restaurants together as well as exploring new places and going for walks. We also love to bake and cook recipes from various cuisines. I like to go to the gym and socialise with my friends. I love going on holiday, going for dinners and going for long walks with my family and friends.

I am working towards my level 3 and being a room leader at some point in the future.

I am currently a student at university studying business management working my way towards a masters degree. I am also a car enthusiast and spend most of my weekends working with cars, meeting new people and travelling all over the uk to car events. I also love travelling the world exploring new countries and cities.

My name is Samantha. I am level 2 qualified and also studying my level 3. My interests are colouring, reading books, cooking and shopping. I have quite a few hobbies which include playing football, basketball and bowling. I enjoy baking and do this regularly for my family and friends. My most requested item to bake would have to be brownies! Besides these hobbies, I also spend my weekends socialising with friends, either at home or by going dancing locally. When not out with friends, my favourite way to relax is to pop on my fluffy socks and spend some time completing diamond paintings.

My name is Chelsey. I have been in childcare since March 2018, I am level 2 qualified and I’m currently creating an apprenticeship to complete my level 3. I believe I offer the team a calming personality to provide children a way of dealing with their own emotions in a positive way, I also have a family of my own who I love to do activities with, such as taking my daughter to gymnastics and my son boxing. I enjoy big family holidays and travelling the world, my favourite country that I have visited is Dubai. My dream is to one day spend Christmas in Lapland with my children and to have a holiday in the Maldives. Summer is my favourite time of the year and I love to be outdoors socialising in the sun with friends and family. I really enjoy listening to music from genres such as garage, house and the 80’s. On the top of my bucket list is to experience a sky dive and I’m hoping to do this in the next few years.
